Our mission is to nurture and support families in the faith development of their children.  It is our goal that children will learn the stories of the Bible, equipping them for a lifetime of learning, praying and celebrating God’s love in every aspect of their life.

Program Year

Sunday School begins Rally Sunday (Sunday after Labor Day) runs through the Sunday before Memorial Day weekend. Click here for a full list of the key dates. Sunday School is offered to children who are age 3 by Sept. 1 through those entering 6th grade. Sunday School is held during worship (9:30 am). Children go to worship with their families and will be excused to Sunday School after the Children’s Sermon.  The Children’s Sermon will introduce the Bible story the children will learn in Sunday School. At the conclusion of  Sunday School, children return to worship to participate in Communion and the remainder of the worship service.

Curriculum

Children age 3 through Grade 4 will use the Spark curriculum.  Spark is a comprehensive, Bible-centered curriculum where children will experience lively, age-appropriate activities—such as games, crafts, or creative play— that accommodate all the ways kids learn.

Our 5th & 6th Graders will use the Connect curriculum.  Connect is a Bible-centered curriculum which helps preteens uncover major Biblical themes and discover how the Bible relates to their own lives using videos, hands-on activities and Bible exploration.

Experiences

Sunday School time for ages 3 through Grade 4 includes both a large group music time and small group classroom time.  Classroom and large group times are divided according to age groups to allow for age appropriate experiences. Grade 5-6 youth have a separate experience that is small group time only.  A special 3 week study is done during the year for Grades 5-6 on the Apostles Creed,  Grades 3-4 on the Ten Commandments and Grades 1-2 on The Lord’s Prayer.  Special Festival Sundays, Christmas program and a service day are also planned during the program year for all ages to participate.
