On Sunday, January 19th at 12:00 noon, Lake of the Isles Lutheran Church will host “A Scandinavian Brunch at the Lake.” Swedish born and trained chef Anna-Lena Sköld will offer an authentic Swedish smorgasbord with a variety of traditional foods as well as a featured main course and dessert. Before emigrating from Sweden in 1995, Chef Sköld studied at the culinary school in Göteborg and worked in numerous restaurants in the ski resorts of northern Sweden. She also opened her own restaurant on the island of Öland in the Baltic Sea.
The $25 all inclusive reservation includes the following menu on January 19th:
Fennel and Dill Herring, Mild Red Wine Herring
Matjes Herring served with Sour Cream and Chives
and Boiled Potatoes
Three kinds of Swedish Cheese
Eggs topped with Greenland Shrimps and Mayonnaise
Citrus Marinated Salmon served with Sweet Dill Mustard Sauce

Jansson’s Temptation, Swedish Meatballs & Lingonberries
