Toll Free Handbell Quartet Concert

December 1, 2013 | 4:00 pm
Cost : Donations appreciated

The Advent season at Lake of the Isles will begin with a special musical offering.  The Toll Free Handbell Quartet enchanted the congregation at the spcial worship service honoring Margot Kassmann in June, and will bring that magical, musical quality to our Advent season.

The Toll Free Handbell Quartet is comprised of four musicians who created an opportunity to ring handbells in a new, challenging and exciting way. Toll Free performs works specifically arranged or written for handbells, but their specialty is creating their own arrangements and sounds for themselves. Toll Free is by invitation only and frequently enlists the help of fellow musicians to augment and enhance the Toll Free concert experience. No music is off limits, and you can hear jazz, swing, sacred, classical from Bach and the Beatles to Vivaldi, and everything in between. Toll Free utilizes five octaves of Schulmerich Handbells and performs several times yearly in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

Christina Wood is a Senior Epic Specialist at Health Partners. Debra Olsen is an Executive Assistant to the Dean at United Theological Seminary. Anne Jeddeloh teaches in a private piano studio in her home. Kate Graber is a Lead Test Analyst at Thrivent Financial.

The concert begins at 4:00 p.m. and will be followed with a reception.
