 On Easter Sunday, April 5th, at 12:00 noon, Lake of the Isles Lutheran Church will host a Pask Buttet – Easter Smorgasbord.
LOTI member, Swedish born and trained chef Anna-Lena Sköld will again offer an authentic Swedish smorgasbord of traditional foods as well as a featured main course and dessert.
Before emigrating from Sweden in 1995, Chef Sköld studied at the culinary school in Göteborg and worked in numerous restaurants in the ski resorts of northern Sweden. She also opened her own restaurant on the island of Öland in the Baltic Sea.

  • Tomato Marinated Matjes Herring
  • Boiled Fingerling Potatoes
  • Three kinds of Swedish Herring
  • Eggs topped with Mixed Seafood Salad
  • Cold Baked Salmon served Creamy Dill-Lemon Sauce

  • Potato & Asparagus Salad topped with Vinaigrette

  • Jansson’s Temptation (a creamy potato dish)
  • Swedish Meatballs & Lingonberries
  • Swedish Sausages & Mustard
  • Eggs Mornay – hard boiled eggs baked in a creamy mustard sauce
  • Boneless Leg of Lamb served with Rosemary flavored Cream Sauce
  • Chocolate Terrine served with Marinated Pineapple Salad

The smorgasbord not only offers an opportunity for LOTI friends and neighbors to gather for fellowship and enjoy genuine Scandinavian hospitality, but the meals also support the benevolence work of our congregation.  We are committed to donate all profits from the monthly smorgasbord meals to charity. That’s right, all of our profits are dispensed to local charities to help those most in need such as:  Joyce Community Food Shelf, Our Saviour’s Housing, and Community Emergency Services.
