Service of Prayer and Healing

October 19, 2014 | 9:30 am

The Sunday nearest to October 18th, the Festival Day for St. Luke is often marked as a day for special services for healing. St. Luke is referred to in scripture as the “Great Physican” and in medieval times he was the patron saint doctors and surgeons. Numerous hospitals across the United States are named after St. Luke.

The service for Prayer and Healing will be a part of the Prayers of the Church and anointing of oil will occur during Holy Communion. Regions Medical Center Chaplain Rob Ruff will be our guest preacher for this service.
