Speaker Series on Working

October 15, 2017 - October 7, 2017 | 10:45 am - 11:30 am
Place : LOTI Christy Room
pic-36Working is the theme of a speaker series that began this summer and will continue running once a month through the course of the next year. It’s inspired by the Studs Terkel book of that name in which “people talk about what they do all day and how they feel about what they do.” Many people within our congregation are engaged in fascinating work. This series gives us an opportunity to learn more about our members and the work in which they are involved.
The next segment of the series will feature Lake of the Isles Lutheran member, Deb Gilroy.
Deb is an adjunct voice professor at Hamline University and Minneapolis Community and Technical College and maintains a private voice studio from her home in the Kenwood neighborhood. She also sings professionally as a Dramatic Soprano in solo as well as ensemble productions.
Deb’s talk will take place after a brief coffee break following the Sunday morning service. Those who are interested will be invited to take their coffee/tea into the Christy Room for about 45 minutes. The first 20 minutes will be an informal talk by Deb about her work…leaving the remaining time for questions from those in attendance.
