St. Martin’s Fest & Winter Clothing Drive for PPL

November 12, 2016 | 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Cost : $15 per person / $30 per family.  Please call the church office for reservations.
St. MartIn of Tours was known for his generosity to the poor.  One cold winter night, when he was still a Roman soldier, he cut his cloak two in two to share it with a beggar at the city gate.  In honor of St. Martin and his legacy, our St. Martin’s Fest dinner will kick-off a winter clothes drive for PPL Project Pride for Living.  Participants are encouraged to share gently used mittens, gloves and hats, as well as new or gently used and cleaned winter jackets.  The St. Martin’s Fest dinner is sponsored by the local Thrivent Action Team.
This is a family event for both adults and children. The meal, a German Farmer’s dinner prepared by Don Holzschuh, will consist of roast beef and gravy, spaetzel, brussels sprouts and dessert, as well as beer and soft pretzels. The evening will culminate in a lantern procession with St. MartIn riding a horse.
