In case you missed it on the evening news or in the morning paper, Pastor Haug and Governor Tim Walz were seen together on Memorial Day at the State Capitol, blessing and ringing a 70 year-old replica of the Liberty Bell. Through an act of the Minnesota Legislature, the bell was allowed to ring for the first time in its history. The replica was cast by the same company France that created the Lake of the Isles’ bell. Pastor Haug serves on the board of the City of Bells a non-profit organization that promotes the care and ringing of historic bells.
