The church council consists of 13 members (including one youth representative) and the pastor. Council members are elected by the congregation at large and may serve up to three terms of two years each, consecutively. The council meets at least monthly. The executive committee of the council consists of the president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. These officers are elected by council members every year and may serve in their respective positions no more than five years consecutively. The officers assume responsibility for carrying out the council’s mandates, including overseeing the church’s staff, conducting performance reviews and making salary recommendations. The executive committee meets as necessary to fulfill its responsibilities.
