Cold winter weather will be here soon and so will the start of our annual winter gear and coat drive! We will begin our drive on October 28 and will collect items through November 11.
We are collecting new or gently used coats, gloves, mittens, scarves, boots and snow pants. Donation collection areas will be located at both entrances to the Sanctuary.

On behalf of the LOTI Church Council, I would like to thank you for all your gifts that supported the Cut a Rug Gala on Sunday evening, September 30th. It was a great success.  We raised over $10,000 which will cover the cost of new carpeting for the sanctuary, as well as its installation. In addition, the extra funds generated will be used for the updates to the HVAC system which could not completed earlier this year due to the cost overruns on the bathroom project.

Special thanks to Michelle McCreery for her wonderful meal, and to Susanne Haas for organizing the silent auction. Finally, what a delight it was to listen to the dance music of John Madson and the Starry Night Quartet.

Thank you again,
Marty Carlson
LOTI Council President
Weekly rehearsals are Wednesdays, at 7:15
New singers are welcome! Join us!
As our beloved director tells us…

“You don’t have to have a great voice, to make great music.”
The prayer ministry group would welcome anyone who would like to join them on Tuesday mornings in the Christy Room at 9:15-10:00 a.m. Please contact Janna Haug, Deb Gilroy or Linda Nelson for more information if you are interested.
Join us on Wednesday morning for Bible Study at 10:00. The informal study will explore the Epistles of St. Paul. And yes, coffee and treats are a part of every Wednesday morning.

In April 2019, Pastor Haug will lead a European tour to the places where the Haug family served as ELCA missionaries. The 13 day tour entitled Springtime in the Baltics will include visits to Finland, Russia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. For more information contact Pastor Haug

Sunset behind Lutheran Church chimney, frozen Lake of the Isles, Minneapolis, Minnesota, was a popular auction item at the Cut A Rug Gala. To view more of Rob Lingelbach’s photos visit altruistics or lingelbach.us

Children who are visiting for Sunday Morning Worship, age 3 through 6th grade, are welcome to attend Sunday School. We ask that a parent/guardian come with their child after the Children’s Message to check-in to a classroom. Children will return to worship with their family at the beginning of Communion. If your child prefers to remain in Worship, there are age appropriate worship materials at the kid’s worship table in the Narthex.

Welcome!

LOTI Church Council will host a gala on September 30th to raise funds for new carpeting in our Sanctuary. The event will include food, drinks, silent auction, and live music. We are looking for auction items! Examples from the past are artwork, wine and food baskets, use of a cabin or timeshare, as well as voice lessons, special dinners at someone’s house, pottery, cookie delivery, tickets to events, and whatever else you can provide that you think someone else might be interesting in procuring! If you have an item to contribute, please contact Susanne Haas or Pastor Haug.

As part of our outreach program, LOTI is once again sponsored a team for the annual Paint-A-Thon charity event on August 11.

This year we had a small but mighty team that got the job done!

Special thanks to: Lars Olson (organizer and participant); Peggy & Gary Wagner; Brad Anderson; Larry Moe; and Bruce Brandt.
