Rally Sunday is the traditional fall start for the program year at Lake of the Isles. It is the Sunday when Sunday School, Confirmation, Choir and Adult Bible Study resume after a summer break. At least, that is how it was in the past. Various forms of technology, including our regular Sunday morning worship services, have kept us in touch with the staff, but there is one important piece that is missing. That is the community- the day to day small talk of the congregation that binds us together. Over and over, I have read in commentaries and analysis on the pandemic that this is what people are craving. They need the human contact that congregational life encourages. The Zuhrah Shrine Dixie Kats will perform Dixieland music. Once again, we are hosting a savory and sweet pie buffet. You can enjoy your pie inside or head out to the patio and lawn– wherever you feel most comfortable. If you want to wear a mask, please do. Nobody will ask why. We simply want you to know that there is place waiting for you. If you are still unsure, there is always an online option for worship.
